What is Land Pooling?
Land-pooling is the streamlined process of amalgamating the individual farm landholdings of farmers into a single amalgamated larger parcel which can undergo proper layout and demarcation by a centralized planning authority, which is usually a public body. From this demarcation process emerge roads, parks, community centres as well as plots for residential and commercial purposes. This entire exercise is fundamental to the object and purpose of town-planning which aims to ensure clean, green and congestion-free living for the people and their future generations.
